Hitler And Nazi

The Nazi party was established in 1919. In 1921 Hitler became the leader of the party. The ideals of this party were based on German racial superiority, land expansion, blamed the Jews for the predicament that Germany was in, and wanted them removed. It grow from 27,000 members in 1925 to 108,000 in 1929.Hitler and his followers used propaganda ,blaming the Jews, to gain the support that they needed. The started using auxiliary groups such as The Hitler Youth, the Student League, and even the women became involved through The National Socialist Women's League. The Nazis slowly started to grow bigger and become more powerful. Many Germans looked to Hitler and saw hope. They believed that he would be able to pull them out of the depression they were in. Hitler became Chancellor in 1933, and Nazi party started taking over. His plans went into action. He invaded Poland in September 1939, which stared World War II. The Nazis started killing Jews. Approximately 6 million Jews were killed during his 12 year rule over Germany. After time the Nazi's were starting to collapse as the Soviet Union were closing in. Adolf Hitler realized this and committed suicide April 30, 1945 ending the war and the Nazi party.
